The IAIN Salatiga Postgraduate Program was opened based on the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia Number: Dj.I / 818/2010 on November 22, 20120.
The IAIN Salatiga Postgraduate Program organizes 6 Study Programs, namely:

1. Masters in Islamic Religious Education
   Accredited (A) based on the Decree of Badan Akredit Nasional Perguruan Tinggi  (BAN-PT) number: 1799 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / M / VII / 2018 on July 17 2018
2. Master of Teacher Education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah
   Accredited (B) based on the Decree of Badan Akredit Nasional Perguruan Tinggi  (BAN-PT) number: 305 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / M / III / 2019 on March 5, 2019
3. Master of Sharia Economics
   Accredited based on the Decree of Badan Akredit Nasional Perguruan Tinggi  (BAN-PT) number: 4388 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / M / XI / 2017 and is currently in the process of re-accreditation
4. Master of Islamic Family Law
   on  Process Acreditation
5. Master of English Education
   on Process Acreditation
6. Doctor in Islamic Religious Education
   on Process Acreditaion

The IAIN Salatiga Postgraduate Program is held as a form of awareness and responsibility of IAIN Salatiga in order to participate in improving the quality of education in Indonesia, especially in the field of Islamic Religious Education

as for the purpose

1. Producing Masters in Islamic Sciences who have integrity, exemplary in religion, breadth of knowledge, professionalism and commitment to Indonesian values.
2. Produce Masters in Islamic Sciences who have methodological abilities in scientific and practical development based on research and technology as well as Indonesian values
